CROWN Princess Mary's Australian friends and family will line up with the crowned heads of Europe for the christening of the baby dubbed "Kingaroo" on Saturday week.
The three-month-old son of Mary and Crown Prince Frederik will be christened in a formal ceremony at Christiansborg Palace Church in Copenhagen on January 21.
Mary's sisters, Patricia Bailey and Jane Stephens, and their spouses are expected to fly out from Tasmania for the ceremony, while her brother John Donaldson, father John Donaldson snr and step-mother Susan Moody will also be there.
Mary's best friend, Amber Petty, is in Europe and will attend the event although she is unlikely to be made a godmother of the child.
Possible candidates for godparents include Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Norway's Crown Prince Haakon, Frederik's brother Prince Joachim and one of Mary's sisters.
The baby is expected to be named Christian.Source: The Sun-Herald
