Tasmanian Jobs Market Remains Strong - David Llewellyn, MHA - Tasmanian Government Media Releases

Today's ANZ job figures show the Tasmanian job market remains strong.
Deputy Premier David Llewellyn said today that whilst November saw a slight easing of job vacancy ads as monitored by ANZ Banking Group, the State is coming off a 15 year high recorded in March 2005.
"Since coming to office, the State Labor Government has created 29,100 jobs, we have record numbers of Tasmanians in the workforce and Tasmania has just enjoyed 43 consecutive months of jobs growth.
"Tasmanians will remember that when last in office the State Liberals presided over double digit unemployment and nearly sent the state bankrupt.
"The Liberals claim to have a plan for Tasmania, but what they actually have is around $800 million in promises they can't afford.
"Mr Hodgman needs to come clean with Tasmanians. If the State Liberals were to be elected, would they break their election promises, slash essential services or bankrupt Tasmania again?
